Description :

The Dual Modality CT / Rad Tech is responsible for producing high-quality diagnostic images using advanced imaging and computer equipment in accordance with professional standards.

This role requires in-depth knowledge of anatomy, physiology, imaging techniques, and radiation safety.

The technologist prepares and educates patients, ensures appropriate age care, and maintains strict adherence to infection control and quality protocols.

Additionally, they may oversee and mentor students during clinical training.

They verify exam orders and assess appropriateness using patient data and developmental considerations.

They prepare and position patients for imaging procedures, ensuring optimal image quality.

The technologist operates imaging, computer, and related equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images.

They collaborate with physicians to evaluate images and determine the need for additional imaging.

They apply radiation safety techniques and devices to minimize exposure to patients and staff.

They demonstrate knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, imaging techniques, and image quality standards.

The technologist educates patients about procedures and responds to questions or concerns in an age-appropriate manner.

They ensure communication, safety, and care are tailored to the patient’s developmental stage.

They maintain infection control and quality control standards in all imaging procedures.

They supervise and train students during clinical rotations, ensuring safe and effective patient care.
