Accounting Manager – Manufacturing

North Attleboro, MA

$90,000 – $100,000 annually

Full-Time | On-site | Monday–Friday, 7 : 30 AM–4 : 15 PM

Saturday coverage every 7–9 weeks (7 : 00 AM–11 : 00 AM)

About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee daily accounting operations within a manufacturing environment . This is a key leadership position responsible for managing Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and General Accounting functions while driving accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with GAAP and company policies.

Priority : Candidates with manufacturing accounting experience and ERP system conversion experience —especially with Infor Syteline —will have a strong advantage.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead daily accounting operations, including A / P, A / R, payroll processing, and general ledger maintenance.
  • Oversee month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial statements.
  • Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and documentation to maintain internal controls.
  • Supervise and develop accounting staff, providing mentorship and training.
  • Partner with cost accounting to analyze manufacturing costs, inventory, and production variances.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies.
  • Manage cash flow, perform bank reconciliations, and assist with forecasting.
  • Support annual audits and coordinate with external auditors.
  • Manage sales tax filings and certificate maintenance.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with Operations and Management to deliver financial insights that support business decisions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
  • 5+ years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role .
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing cost accounting and inventory management .
  • ERP experience required – prior work with Infor Syteline or experience in ERP conversions strongly preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems (QuickBooks, SAP, or similar).
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Regular collaboration with production and operations teams.
  • Standard hours with flexibility during month-end and year-end close.
  • Saturday coverage every 7–9 weeks (7 : 00 AM–11 : 00 AM).
