Overview :
A growing organization in the aerospace and defense sector is seeking a skilled Compliance Manager to lead data governance and regulatory compliance initiatives. This role requires hands-on execution and the ability to navigate complex compliance frameworks including ITAR, EAR, FAR / DFARS, and CUI. The successful candidate will ensure company-wide data practices align with internal policies and external regulations.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and implement data governance policies and frameworks.
- Ensure compliance with ITAR, EAR, FAR / DFARS, and related regulatory standards.
- Classify and manage data according to sensitivity and regulatory mandates.
- Conduct regular internal audits and prepare documentation for external audits.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess and mitigate data-related risks.
- Monitor access controls and support enforcement of data usage standards.
- Provide training and support to internal teams on compliance requirements.
- Maintain and manage compliance status on platforms such as SAM.gov.
- Lead investigations into potential data incidents and develop remediation plans.
- Track and report data usage, accuracy, and compliance metrics.
- Partner with IT and business units to address data quality or control issues.
Qualifications :
Bachelors degree in Information Systems, Business, or a related field; equivalent experience considered.35 years of experience in a compliance, data governance, or regulatory role.Proficiency with compliance standards including HIPAA, GDPR, SOC 2, or similar.Familiarity with GRC software and data management tools (e.g., Excel, ERP platforms).Strong analytical, documentation, and organizational skills.Prior experience in regulated industries such as healthcare, life sciences, or finance is preferred.Certifications such as CIPP, CDMP, or CISSP are a plus.Compensation and Benefits :
