We are seeking a Licensed Structural Engineer (PE) to join our in-house team. This role is ideal for an engineer who thrives in a fast-paced demolition and construction environment, someone who can translate technical design and analysis into safe, practical, and efficient execution in the field.
Key Responsibilities
- Review, design, and stamp demolition means and methods plans, including engineered sequences, bracing, and temporary support systems.
- Perform structural evaluations for buildings slated for partial or full demolition, with focus on load paths, stability, and risk mitigation.
- Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, and estimators to assess feasibility, sequencing, and costs during both bidding and active project phases.
- Conduct site visits to evaluate structural conditions and ensure compliance with approved engineered plans.
- Coordinate with municipal building departments and other stakeholders to facilitate timely plan approvals and permitting.
- Maintain detailed documentation of calculations, inspections, and stamped plans in compliance with state and local regulations.
Qualifications
Professional Engineer (PE) License — required (Massachusetts preferred; multi-state licensure a plus).Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.5+ years of structural design experience; experience in demolition, heavy construction, or building rehabilitation strongly preferred.Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., RISA, STAAD, or similar) and AutoCAD / Revit.Strong communication, collaboration, and field presence with a practical mindset for solving real-world challenges.Why Join Us?
