We're looking for an experienced writer for the Technology Content Experience team. Building out our Hyperforce infrastructure is one of the fastest growing and top priority areas of technology at Salesforce. We need a writer to develop technical content and documentation workflows for internal Salesforce service teams who are both onboarding to and rebuilding their Hyperforce services on Google Cloud Platform. You'll work collaboratively with engineers, architects, technical writers, and program managers in Hyperforce infrastructure Engineering.
As a Staff Technical Writer , you'll use a spectrum of your content skills to produce technical documentation for a developer or enterprise software operator audience—creating content experiences that address your customers' key jobs to be done. You'll collaborate with Lead+ level writers, architects, and technical program managers. Depending on the maturity of the project, this role may involve more information architecture and content planning than writing at times. You'll lean into AI tools and innovative ways of producing and managing entire content in partnership with engineering and digital agents—redefining the role of technical writer as you go. You'll follow an intake and tracking process for your work that involves maintaining a backlog of content deliverables, prioritizing order of work, keeping user stories up-to-date, and managing stakeholder expectations. You also have the opportunity to drive and influence content strategy at Salesforce.
Responsibilities
Lead documentation efforts for Hyperforce infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform, collaborating closely with engineers, architects, and cross-functional teams.
Drive content strategy, information architecture, and workflow processes for technical documentation.
Partner with stakeholders to define priorities, manage content pipelines, and ensure alignment with strategic goals.
Innovate content production using AI and automation tools to scale and streamline processes.
Mentor and support other writers, sharing expertise and elevating team performance.
Required Skills & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field, Tech Comms, or English.
5+ years of technical writing experience with a focus on developer-oriented documentation.
Strong knowledge of Git, Markdown, and Agile methodologies.
Exceptional leadership, collaboration, and project management skills.
Excellent English writing and editing abilities.
Experience driving content strategy and leading complex documentation projects.
Desired Experience / Skills
AWS (or similar) or high-security industry experience.
Expertise in information architecture and designing enterprise-level documentation.
SaaS or infrastructure service documentation experience.
