Located on the 67th floor, our venue blends breathtaking views with a distinctly New York food and beverage program, inspired by the city’s energy and creativity.

Named after the historic Doppler radar once operated by the National Weather Service atop the building, The Weather Room is a place where hospitality meets altitude. Position Summary

As a Counter Server at The Weather Room, you’ll be part of a hospitality team delivering exceptional service at one of New York City’s most iconic destinations. This role is ideal for individuals who thrive in fast-paced environments, take pride in creating memorable guest experiences, and are passionate about food, beverage, and service.

You’ll be responsible for welcoming guests, taking and preparing orders, and maintaining a clean, organized space. With a focus on efficiency, warmth, and attention to detail, you’ll help bring our distinctly New York menu to life—whether it’s morning coffee service or evening cocktails in the clouds.

This is a guest-facing role that requires strong communication skills, a collaborative spirit, and a commitment to excellence in every interaction.

Candidates must be available for weekday evening service (4 : 00pm - 1 : 00am) and all-day weekend service (Saturday and Sunday) to be considered.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and provide a welcoming, professional first impression.
• Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently using POS system.
• Prepare and serve coffee, tea, and other beverages to standard.
• Assemble and serve food items according to presentation and portion guidelines.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the counter, service areas, and equipment.
• Monitor inventory levels and restock supplies as needed throughout the shift.
• Handle cash and card transactions securely and responsibly.
• Answer guest questions about menu items, ingredients, and allergens.
• Communicate effectively with kitchen and bar teams to ensure smooth service flow.
• Uphold health, safety, and sanitation standards at all times.
• Assist with opening and closing duties, including setup, breakdown, and cleaning.
• Contribute to a positive team environment by supporting colleagues and leadership.
• Adapt to high-volume periods while maintaining composure and quality service.
