Quality Management System Lead
The Quality Management System Lead is responsible for all Quality documentation, along with adherence to and maintenance of the Factory Quality Management System. The role requires a proficient understanding of the ISO 9001 : 2015 and AS9100 Standards; ensuring that the Factory meets the intent of the standard and can demonstrate evidence of compliance. The role also requires manufacturing product and process knowledge to ensure compliance to Engineering Design standards and Quality requirements. Development of a strong cross-functional network with Engineering, Sourcing, and the Field will be required to maintain a collaborative approach to Quality.
The Quality Management System Lead will :
- Functionally own all aspects of Schenectady's Quality Management System, including but not limited to :
- Management of the Factory Quality Management System as it relates to Factory Operations
- Aligning Factory Quality documentation with ISO 9001 : 2015, AS9100, and GE Vernova Global Standards
- Preparing Factory for and supporting external LRQA, Cross Business, Customer, and Schenectady internal audits
- Establishing Standard Work across Manufacturing Cells for ownership, control and consistency of documentation
- Supporting performance to Key Process Indicators (KPI's) through documentation accuracy and timeliness
- Develop annual Factory internal audit schedule and ensure timely completion of audits
- Ensure timeliness of documentation reviews, updates, and approvals consistent with QMS requirements
- Proficient use of Schenectady Quality Systems (CARA, Power Now, Fiori, GenSuite, eSMS, WebCRT)
- Participate in Root Cause investigations and develop Corrective and Preventative Actions for identified Quality issues related to QMS documentation (using HOP's, RCA's, and PSR's)
- Act as the liaison between the Factory, Sourcing, Engineering, Customer representatives and the Quality Team for all QMS related issues.
Qualifications / Requirements :
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (Or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 3 years of experience in Manufacturing OR 5 years of military experience)3 years of Manufacturing Quality experienceAbility / Flexibility to work varied shifts to support 3-shift operationDesired Characteristics :

The base pay range for this position is $81,700- $110,000. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for 10% performance bonus / variable incentive compensation / equity.
The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
