CAD Drafter, Stone Countertop Fabrication

Company : Toor Countertops

Location : Austin, TX area

Compensation : $22 to $28 per hour, DOE

Schedule : Onsite; 7 : 00 a.m. start preferred; 8 to 10 hours per day

About the Role

Toor Countertops is hiring a CAD Drafter to turn field templates and specs into clean, fabrication-ready drawings for high-end residential and commercial projects. You will work closely with templating, production, and install teams to keep jobs moving and on schedule.

What You’ll Do

  • Convert raw template files into customer and shop versions

Remove shop and install notes for client drawings

  • Drop in sinks, edges, and faucet holes with correct profiles and radii
  • Add assembly, fabrication, and install notes per Toor standards
  • Incorporate redlines and revisions; adjust overhangs and backsplashes; apply material thickness and machine tolerance for accurate takeoffs
  • Produce clear 2D shop drawings and efficient fabrication layouts
  • Organize project photos and notes; maintain documentation in Stone App
  • Collaborate with project managers, templaters, and installers to resolve issues early
  • Support layout as part of the drafting scope; CAM or programming exposure is a plus, not required

    • What You Bring

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and experience reading architectural drawings
  • Direct stone countertop drafting experience, including edge profiles, radii, and backsplash details
  • Strong organization and version control habits; ability to manage multiple jobs in a fast-paced environment
  • Bilingual English and Spanish is a strong plus for daily coordination with fabrication and install teams
  • Portfolio required; include 2 to 3 sample shop drawings or screenshots with brief context
