Overview

The Resort Facilities Engineer plays a critical role in maintaining the seamless operation of all physical aspects of our Forbes-rated luxury property. This includes preventative maintenance, timely repair, and ensuring all facilities meet the highest standards of safety, aesthetics, and functionality. The ideal candidate is technically skilled, service-oriented, and committed to supporting an exceptional guest experience through proactive maintenance and meticulous attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and emergency maintenance and repairs across all resort facilities, including guest rooms, public areas, spa, pool, kitchens, and back-of-house areas.
• Respond promptly and professionally to guest service calls and engineering-related guest issues, ensuring quick resolution with minimal disruption.
• Work closely with housekeeping, front office, and food & beverage departments to support operational needs and enhance guest satisfaction.
• Participate in the resorts preventive maintenance program, documenting tasks and ensuring compliance with Forbes and internal quality standards.
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure all mechanical, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems function efficiently and safely.
• Maintain tools and equipment in clean and serviceable condition.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and OSHA regulations.
• Support sustainability and energy conservation initiatives, including monitoring utility systems and recommending improvements.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of engineering workspaces and mechanical rooms.
• Perform other related duties as assigned to support the overall success of the team and business.
