Job descriptionSecure freight and tarp when necessary in all weather conditions Treating customers in a friendly and professional manner Documenting each delivery by taking pictures, and communicating with the customer Report maintenance problems and accidents in a timely manner Look for innovation and continuous improvement opportunities in the Transportation Department Adhering to assigned delivery schedule and following all job directives precisely Providing support to our loaders as needed Maintain log of travel and cargo in accordance with Federal and State regulations and company policy Any other duties assigned by Management Previous experience driving for a metal building or construction company a plus Familiar with shipping orders, manifests, and delivery schedules Experience as a flatbed driver a plus Meet all Federal Motor Carrier Guidelines Hold a Valid Class A CDL Ability to lift 50lbs., bend, squat, kneel and or stand for extended periods of time
