Essential Functions
- Perform a wide range of administrative and clinical tasks, including obtaining and documenting patient medical histories, answering and directing phone calls, and ensuring completion of all necessary forms.
- Communicate fluently in Spanish with patients and their families to accurately obtain and document medical histories and other vital information.
- Maintain medical supply inventory and perform basic preventive maintenance on equipment to ensure proper operation.
- Prepare patients for examinations by conducting preliminary physical assessments, taking vital signs, and summarizing patient history for providers.
- Set up and maintain clean, organized treatment rooms for clinical examinations.
- Communicate physician instructions to patients and answer basic questions regarding treatment and care. Fluency in Spanish is required to effectively relay information to our Spanish-speaking patients.
- Provide compassionate support and assistance to patients and their families throughout their visit.
- Ensure strict compliance with healthcare regulations and standards, including HIPAA and OSHA.
- Assist providers, clinical staff, and other team members as needed.
- Be comfortable performing medical reception duties as needed, including scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and handling billing inquiries.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned to support overall clinic operations.
Required Skills / Abilities
Solid understanding of medical procedures, administrative workflows, and organizational policies.Must be fluent in both English and Spanish, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with patients, families, and staff.Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with patients and families.Proficient in a variety of administrative tasks, including scheduling, documentation, and records management.Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to take initiative and demonstrate leadership when needed.Familiarity with medical terminology and electronic health record (EHR) systems.Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to express ideas effectively.Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.Adaptable and able to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.Committed to providing exceptional patient care and customer service.Demonstrates the ability to meet performance goals and deadlines consistently.Benefits
