Payroll Specialist

We are looking for a skilled Payroll Specialist to join our team on a contract basis. This role requires expertise in processing payroll for both W-2 employees and 1099 contractors, ensuring accuracy and compliance across multiple systems. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and capable of managing payroll operations for a large workforce efficiently.

Responsibilities :

• Process payroll for approximately 900 W-2 employees on a semi-monthly schedule using Paycor.
• Manage payroll for 230 contractors, ensuring accurate and timely payments.
• Collaborate with external vendors to handle Canadian payroll transactions.
• Utilize Excel to prepare and load payroll files, ensuring data accuracy.
• Maintain compliance with multi-state payroll regulations and requirements.
• Address payroll-related inquiries and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Train on and adapt to different payroll systems as needed.
• Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping for all payroll processes.
• Support the team during transitions and provide reliable coverage during absences.
