C-12 / King Air (B200 / PT6) Army Transport Aircraft Mechanic (FAA A&P) - Topeka, KS

The C-12 / King Air Army Transport Aircraft Mechanic AM-2 (FAA A&P). Performs organizational and intermediate level maintenance on C-12 / King Air 200 / 350 / 1900 aircraft.

Union CBA Contract - Level of Aircraft Mechanic title and pay based on years of specific C-12 / King Air hands-on A&P mechanic experience.

• A valid FAA A&P Certificate is Required.
• C-12 / King Air specifically "Beech 200 / PT6" experience is strongly desired.
• Union CBA provides 3 levels of A&P experience based on years of experience on the assigned MDS aircraft C-12 / King Air.
• US Citizenship is Required to obtain the US Govt Secret Security Clearance, and for facility and base access.
• Is responsible for servicing, troubleshooting, repairing and modifying aircraft systems to ensure continued airworthiness.
• These tasks are performed on avionics & electrical systems, engines, flight controls and airframe components.
• Repairs are performed using hand tools, power tools, machines, and equipment such as shears, sheet metal brake, welding equipment, rivet gun, and drills.
• Comply with aircraft records procedures outlined in DA PAM 738-751.
• Ensure aircraft discrepancies are properly recorded in accordance with approved maintenance procedures and within the terms of the contract.
• Know and understand the functions and requirements of computerized maintenance software.
• Perform aircraft recovery missions as necessary.
• Perform engine run or taxi operations. Meet requirement to obtain certification within 12 months of employment.
• Reads and interprets manufacturers' maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and other specifications to determine feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components.
• Perform other qualified duties as assigned.
