Part Time Payroll Specialist (15 hours / week)
As a Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring that employees are paid accurately and on time, managing payroll systems, and handling any payroll-related inquiries. Responsibilities
Process payroll for all employees on a timely basis, ensuring accuracy in wages, bonuses, overtime, and deductionsMaintain and update employee payroll records, including personal information, tax exemptions, and wage changesEnsure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulationsPrepare and distribute paychecks or direct deposit statements to employeesCalculate and file payroll taxes, ensuring timely submission to appropriate government agenciesManage benefits deductions and ensure proper recording in payroll systemsPrepare reports on payroll expenses, tax filings, and employee compensation for management and auditorsStay updated on changes to payroll tax laws, benefits regulations, and best practicesQualifications
A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with a degree in accounting, finance, or business preferredA minimum of 2 years of experience in payroll processing or a similar role is requiredFamiliarity with payroll software and knowledge of tax laws and payroll regulations is essentialStrong attention to detailExcellent communication, organizational and time-management skillsAbility to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneouslyStrong knowledge of payroll software and spreadsheetsUnderstanding of payroll tax regulations and complianceAbility to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with integrityStrong problem-solving skills to resolve payroll discrepancies and issuesAbout Hopes Promise Respite LLC :
