Locum NP (Nurse Practitioner)PA (Physician's Assistant) Cardiothoracic Surgery

This on-site contract position is located in Palos Heights and offers a unique opportunity to work within a fast-paced environment dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care in the cardiothoracic surgery field.

In this role you will collaborate with a team of skilled healthcare professionals to provide high-quality medical care to patients undergoing cardiothoracic procedures. Your expertise will contribute to improving patient outcomes and supporting the surgical team in a dynamic setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the management and treatment of patients undergoing cardiothoracic procedures
• Perform comprehensive assessments and develop patient care plans
• Conduct pre-operative and post-operative evaluations
• Collaborate with surgeons and other healthcare professionals
• Provide patient education and counseling regarding treatment options
• Monitor patients progress and adjust care plans as necessary
• Document patient interactions and care in accordance with regulations
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives

Requirements

Schedule : 8-hour day shifts 7 on / 7 off

No call requirement

Setting : Inpatient and outpatient

Patient Census : Up to 10-15 per day

Will serve as first assist for CABG ECMO and EVH procedures

EMR : Epic

Must be board-certified
