We are excited to welcome a new Engineering Manager to our Sunny Isles team.

Responsibilities

• Maintain all building related systems to ensure the safety of hotel guests, associates, and vendors.
• Ensure compliance with Engineering Assumptions / Culture, preventative maintenance programs, Standard Operating Procedures, Mission, Vision, and Values, and all Building / Fire / Health Department codes.
• Maintain building complex with energy efficiency in mind, constantly seeking ways to save energy.
• Assume control of the Engineering Department when the Chief Engineer is not available.
• Understand all building related systems and equipment (Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, Life Safety, IT, Kitchen, Laundry, Pool, etc.).
• Follow company preventative maintenance procedures and guidelines for guestrooms, equipment, public spaces, grounds, landscaping, and building envelope.
• Maintain engineering related accounting procedures to operate within budgeted guidelines while maintaining stock of supplies and materials.
• Interview, train, conduct performance evaluations, resolve problems, maintain open communication, and manage disciplinary actions when appropriate.
• Supervise, train, and assign tasks to engineering staff, ensuring maximum productivity.
• Maintain records for Preventive Maintenance Programs, Capital Projects, Life Safety Systems, and Inspections.
• Monitor and maintain all Engineering spaces in a safe, clean, organized, energy efficient manner.
• Tour the hotel complex daily to identify items requiring engineering, housekeeping, or other departmental action.
• Serve as the property expert on Life Safety items and train managers in these areas.
• Understand Brand related issues and procedures and assist in correcting them.
• Have a basic understanding of elementary accounting procedures and PC / Microsoft Office usage.
• Remain calm in stressful situations and demonstrate strong leadership.
• Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
• Adhere to company handbook policies, standards, procedures, and core values.
