Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license and minimum 1+ years Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A school district is seeking a dependable Substitute Licensed Practical Nurse to provide health and wellness support in educational settings. The selected nurse will assist students with medical needs, promote safety, and uphold high standards of care throughout the school day. Completion of state fingerprinting and background clearance is required prior to assignment.
Responsibilities :
Deliver routine and emergency nursing care to students under the direction of a supervising registered nurse or school administrator.
Administer prescribed medications and treatments while maintaining detailed, accurate medical records.
Assess student health concerns, provide first aid, and determine appropriate next steps for care.
Support students with chronic conditions by following individualized health plans.
Assist with screenings, immunization compliance, and documentation of student health records in accordance with district policy.
Qualifications / Desired Experience :
Active Pennsylvania Licensed Practical Nurse license in good standing.
Prior experience in pediatric, community health, or school-based nursing preferred.
Must complete required fingerprinting and background check before placement.
Excellent communication, clinical judgment, and professionalism in fast-paced school environments.
Knowledge of HIPAA and FERPA standards for maintaining student confidentiality.
