Responsibilities Position based in an acute care hospital with a combined ICU, Med-Surg, and after-hours PACU unit Work with ICU, Med-Surg, OB, and PACU patient populations in a 25-bed critical access hospital Nurse-to-patient ratio is 1 : 1 or 2 : 1 for ICU and 1 : 3-5 for Med-Surg assignments Uses EPIC EMR, Omnicell, Philips monitors and telemetry, Philips defibrillator, Plum IV pumps with smart library, BiPap, and ventilator equipment 12-hour day / night rotating shifts with occasional 8-hour shifts Required to work 2-3 weekends per 6 week schedule and every other holiday Floating may occur to Med-Surg and, if skilled, to OB or ED No call requirements Responsibilities include monitoring acute care and ICU patients, PACU coverage after hours, and managing complex patient care Orientation includes 1 day Med-Surg and 1 day ICU training Will not work alone but may be the only ICU-trained RN on shift, with ED RN support available Must wear navy blue scrubs and can wear pale-colored shirts underneath First-day badge-in / badge-out procedures required Previous employees must have ended Sanford Health employment at least 6 months prior to consideration Local candidates within 80 miles are accepted but may have adjusted compensation rates Requirements Active MN RN license required Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required; TNCC preferred ICU training and experience with telemetry monitoring, continuous IV medication management, and cardioversion procedures required Experience with EPIC charting system preferred Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-627393.
