About the Position

The Team Lead – 2nd Shift supports the Production Supervisor by helping coordinate daily production activities and acting as a resource for employees on the production floor. This role ensures safety, quality, and efficiency standards are maintained while fostering teamwork. The Team Lead is not a formal supervisor but may assume limited supervisory responsibilities in the absence of the 2nd Shift Supervisor.

Duties Include, but Are Not Limited To :

• Promote and enforce safety as a top priority.
• Support the Supervisor in leading pre-shift meetings, communicating safety, metrics, and goals.
• Provide on-the-floor guidance to employees and assist with problem-solving.
• Monitor workflow and communicate production updates or issues to the Supervisor.
• Assist with training new employees on equipment, processes, and safety.
• Step in to coordinate shift activities when the Supervisor is absent, escalating issues when necessary.
• Encourage teamwork and continuous improvement throughout the department.
• Maintain accurate communication regarding quality, production goals, and process improvements.

Required Skills :

Work Environment & Physical Demands

This role requires an active presence on the production floor. Team Leads must be able to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds when needed, and perform duties requiring standing, walking, and reaching. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Monday - Friday 3 : 15pm-1 : 30am
