About The Position

Job Title : X-ray Technologist

Certifications : ARRT, BLS, Certified Radiologic Technologist - ARRT (R)

Must-Have :

Must have own lead markers.

Must have OR experience.

Clienttion badge required prior to starting assignment.

Description :

The position involves working in a Radiology department.

The technologist will perform all general X-ray, fluoroscopy, OR, and ED exams.

Average number of studies performed per day is 80-100 in a 24-hour period.

Technologists may float between General X-ray, Fluoroscopy, OR, ED, and portables.

The department has 4 general X-ray rooms and 2 fluoroscopy rooms.

Equipment used includes GE, Philips, and Shimadzu X-ray machines, as well as C-Arms.

Radiologists are on site 24 / 7.

No IV skills are required, but any IV starting skills are useful.

Shifts may vary, with scheduling posted at least 2 weeks in advance.

Weekend requirements may depend on department needs.

Holiday work may be required if scheduled.

Some call may be needed, with a 45-minute response time.

Scrubs must be professional in appearance; personal scrubs are acceptable.

The first three days will typically be spent in department orientation.

The cancellation policy allows for up to 4 shifts to be canceled per 13-week assignment.

Charting system used is Epic.

This position does not require a BSN.

Must be able to perform all required imaging studies efficiently and accurately.
