• Pet Insurance\n\nOverview\n\nUnder the supervision and direction of a Registered Nurse, the nursing assistant performs various duties in the care and treatment of patients in accordance with established methods and procedures of the Medical Center.\n\nResponsibilities\n
• Provides direct care to patients in accordance with their individualized care plans\n
• Assists patient with activities of daily living, including bathing, oral care, dressing, grooming, and toileting\n
• Assist in transportation and transfer of patients, ensuring comfort and safety during movement\n
• Monitor and record vital signs, intake and output, and other patient data, reporting any abnormalities or concerns to nursing team\n
• Accuchecks completed as directed\n
• Accurate and prompt documentation\n
• Assist with patient hygiene and comfort measures, including turning and repositioning patients to prevent pressure ulcers\n
• Support patients with feeding and hydration needs, adhering to dietary restrictions and assisting with mealtime activities. Removing trays in timely manner.\n
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure continuity of care and promote positive patient outcomes\n
• Completes hourly rounds to assigned patients and anticipates patient needs. Responding promptly to call lights and patient requests\n
• Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families, demonstrating empathy and compassion in all interactions\n
• Maintain a clean and organized patient environment, including changing bed linens, stocking supplies, and ensuring cleanliness of patient rooms, and preparing rooms for admissions and transfers.\n
• Adhere to infection control protocols and hospital policies and procedures to maintain a safe and sanitary environment for patients and staff\n
• Participate in ongoing education and training to enhance skills and knowledge in patient care and hospital procedures\n\nQualifications\n
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-stress environment\n
