Mid-West Regional Sales Manager
We at Buena Vista Foods, an industry leader in the development and production of all natural, high-quality bakery products for the K-12 School Foodservice industry are growing and looking to add to our dynamic Sales Team!!
As the Mid-West Regional Sales Manager, you will grow and develop Buena Vista's sales and profitability in the following states : Kentucky, Illinois, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota, and Wisconsin.
Essential Functions
- Achieve top & bottom-line sales and profit goals with significant focus on generating profitable growth.
- Complete direct sales calls daily in a compelling and persuasive manner, with a minimum goal of 8 per week.
- Develop strategic sales plans for revenue growth.
- Prioritize daily work schedule to perform sales calls on existing and potential customers using Salesforce to achieve revenue growth.
- Work independently, as well as with our broker network, to generate sales opportunities.
- Manage broker performance to meet daily sales call targets and promote Buena Vista products for maximum profitability.
- Develop and grow customer relationships to maximize business opportunities and revenue growth.
- Assist customers with USDA commodity foods processing through Processor Link.
- Assist customers with product forecast and effectively communicate data with operations and distributors.
- Plan and execute exceptional food show appearances and presentations at conferences.
- Represent company in a professional manner at all times.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree with a concentration in Business, Marketing, Nutrition, Communications or a closely related field is preferred.5 years of sales experience, with an emphasis on K12 industry.Experience developing and executing strategic sales plans.Strong business acumen to include principles of sales, marketing, customer service, finance, planning and budgeting.Goal oriented and well organized.Proven ability to quickly cultivate key contacts within customer accounts to build and maintain strong business relationships.Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and effectively in person, in writing, and over the phone.Experience working with CRM systems, Salesforce preferred.Excellent leadership skills; including problem solving, written and verbal communications, and organizational abilities.During food show seasons the position requires the ability to stand for extended periods, safely lift cases of product (no more than 25 pounds), and travel overnight as needed.
