Position Summary
Assist in instructing athletes for the primary purpose of competition. Demonstrate techniques and methods of participation. May evaluate athletes' strengths and weaknesses as possible recruits or to improve the athletes' technique to prepare them for competition.
Essential Functions
Assist in planning, organizing, and conducting practice sessions.Evaluate athletes' skills and review performance records to determine their fitness and potential in a particular area of athletics.Provide training direction, encouragement, motivation, and nutritional advice to prepare athletes for games, competitive events, or tours.Monitor the academic eligibility of student athletesAssist in planning strategies and choose team members for individual games or sports seasons.Develop and arrange competition schedules and programs.File scouting reports that detail player assessments, provide recommendations on athlete recruitment, and identify locations and individuals to be targeted for future recruitment effortsMonitor athletes' use of equipment to ensure safe and proper use.Education & Experience
Minimum Qualifications
4 Year / Bachelors Degree in Physical Eduacation and Human Performance or a related degree.Ability to negotiate to bring teams together to reconcile difference.Ability to manage time.Ability to instruct student athletes in a positive, helpful manner.Ability to use information in appropriate manner to improve the skill level.Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective local, state, or national security operations for the protection of people, data, property, and institutions.Equal Employment Opportunity
