Mill Crush / Convey Diagnostic Mechanic I Position Responsibilities
- Performs system troubleshooting, maintenance and component removal, repair and installation of jaw and gyratory crushers, vibratory screens, conveyors, dust suppression / collection systems, mobile conveying systems ext.
- Performs mechanical and lubrication preventative maintenance such as changing filters in the dust collection systems, checking screens, oil levels and lubrication systems.
- Prioritizes and makes decisions regarding equipment repair as needed.
- Responsible for maintaining work orders and performing work area inspections.
- Trains and mentors other employees.
- Performs advanced welding and fabrication.
- May operate mobile equipment such as : Forklifts, cranes, and boom trucks.
- Performs as a Fill-in Supervisor as required.
- Performs other duties as required.
Mill Crush / Convey Diagnostic Mechanic I Position Requirements
Two (2) years’ experience in mechanical / maintenance crafts (including welder, boilermaker, machinist or facility maintenance / construction) or a combination of education and experience in industrial mechanical repair and maintenance.Must have completed academic and practical competencies required (this includes Line of Progression requirements for internal employees where LOP Exists) and have experience demonstrating the required mechanical aptitude.The selected candidate shall demonstrate the ability to apply knowledge and technical skills while achieving 35% score on a written assessment where required. This exam is based on technical skills / abilities and / or academic knowledge; as well as safety. Must be able to demonstrate proficient basic welding skills.Ability to understand and apply verbal and written work and safety-related instructions and procedures in EnglishAbility to communicate in English with respect to job assignments, job procedures, and applicable safety standardsThe estimated pay range for this role is currently $28.50 - $38.50 / hour.
Employees who are required to work on-site are eligible for a $1,450 monthly housing allowance, provided they meet program guidelines.
