Assembly Technician - Aerospace Industry

About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented Assembly Technician to join a precision manufacturing team that supports critical aerospace and defense operations. In this hands-on role, you'll be responsible for assembling mechanical and electronic components according to detailed technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications. The role ensures all assembled units meet high-quality, safety, and performance benchmarks before advancing to testing or shipment.
You will collaborate closely with engineering and quality assurance teams, contributing to continuous improvements in assembly methods and troubleshooting procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Assemble mechanical and electronic components using hand / power tools, jigs, and fixtures.
Accurately interpret and follow blueprints, schematics, and work instructions.
Conduct functional inspections and tests to verify product integrity.
Identify and report defects or nonconformities to supervisors or QA personnel.
Maintain a clean and organized workstation and equipment.
Assist with documenting production processes and logs.
Comply with company safety guidelines and operational procedures.
Minimum Qualifications
1+ year of experience in a manufacturing or assembly setting.
High school diploma or GED.
Basic knowledge of mechanical / electronic assembly processes.
Comfortable using hand and power tools.
Ability to read and interpret technical documentation.
Good command of English (spoken and written).
Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
Familiarity with ISO 9001 or Six Sigma quality systems.
Skilled in using precision measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers).
Forklift certification is a plus.
