Registered Nurse Emergency Department

Job Description :

The Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the care of patients. The staff RN utilizes the nursing process by use of technology, therapeutic intervention, evidence-based practice and coordination of care with other health team members.

The Emergency Department is a 12-bed unit that specializes in Emergency Care. We are a level IV Trauma Center and have a large catchment area that serves south Utah County. We are a busy department that serves to care for a continuously growing population. We work alongside an excellent group of Emergency Physicians that love to collaborate in patient care. Our typical nurse to patient ratio is 1 : 4, with 1 : 1 nursing for the more critical patients. Critical Care Tech’s (CCT’s)work alongside the bedside nurses in caring for all the patients. In addition to RN duties, they are trained to insert foleys, IV’s, splints, and EKG’s. Our ED has an incredibly engaged culture that leads to a strong team approach where you will feel welcomed and supported.

• Additional Details :  Licensed RN experience in an Emergency Department and / or high acuity setting preferred. One year of licensed RN experience required.

Integrates legal and ethical standards into practice, complies with regulatory standards, practices within scope of licensure, provides accurate & timely documentation, and understands legal implications of care delivery.

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.

$34.53 - $52.25
