Position Summary

The Registered Nurse- Cardiology is responsible for developing, implementing and evaluating a plan of patient care utilizing ANA Standards and the Nursing Process. The RN acts as patient advocate and patient / doctor liaison, provides patient education regarding medications. Other duties include but are not limited to :

Triage medical messages and respond to calls from patients / medical community with questions and concerns. Review all labs and diagnostic testing and respond, as appropriate, to the results. Assess patient calls or walk-in patients that may need to be scheduled for an urgent appointment. Educate and schedule patients for procedures to be performed by the physician. Complete disability and MVA forms. Maintain BP schedule. Assist provider as needed.

Position Requirements

• Current BLS & ACLS certification with American Heart Association required
• One to three years experience in a medical office setting preferred
• At least five years nursing experience with two years of cardiology / electrophysiology experience.

Salary range : $30.00-$48.00 Commensurate with experience
