Job descriptionMust be Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Other Details : A locum tenens Dermatologist is needed to provide general dermatology care in an outpatient clinic setting with no on-call responsibilities. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with clinic hours from 8 : 00 AM to 5 : 00 PM and patient contact hours from 8 : 00 AM to 11 : 45 AM and 1 : 00 PM to 5 : 00 PM. The position includes working alongside one physician and an advanced practice provider (recently offered), with no supervision required. The clinic offers a 2 : 1 nursing support ratio, two exam rooms per provider, and handles all general dermatologic services, including skin checks and biopsies, excluding Mohs surgery. The provider is expected to see approximately 30 patients daily, with 15-minute appointments, and use Cerner for EMR documentation. Although there is no in-house lab or pharmacy, coordination with hospital staff may be required for infusion orders. An optional teaching opportunity is available through a family practice residency program. Qualified candidates must be board certified, fellowship trained in dermatology, and hold either an active Iowa license or an active IMLC LOQ with documentation submitted at the time of name clear.
