A leading OEM in the electronics manufacturing industry is seeking a Commodity Manager – Electronics / PCBs to join its sourcing team.
This role will take ownership of one of the organization’s primary contract manufacturing partnerships and lead end-to-end procurement activities — combining tactical execution with long-term strategic sourcing initiatives.
The ideal candidate will be a hands-on, data-driven procurement professional with deep experience in PCB and electronics sourcing , supplier management, and ERP system utilization. This position offers an opportunity to make an immediate impact while contributing to the company’s continued growth and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage full lifecycle procurement for PCBs and electronic components through assigned contract manufacturers.
- Establish and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure delivery, quality, and cost performance.
- Execute purchase orders, monitor demand forecasts, and manage critical component availability.
- Lead RFQs, negotiate supplier pricing, and establish favorable agreements and terms.
- Partner closely with engineering and program management to support new product introductions (NPIs).
- Identify and drive cost savings, supplier diversification, and risk mitigation initiatives.
- Support ERP system adoption and transition procurement activities from manual to system-based workflows.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with sourcing leadership, operations, and engineering teams.
Qualifications
Required Experience
7+ years in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management.5+ years directly sourcing electronics / PCBs .Proven experience managing contract manufacturers and electronic component suppliers .ERP system proficiency ( CIS Pro preferred; SAP, Oracle, or JD Edwards acceptable).Demonstrated success with RFQs, cost negotiations, and supplier performance management.Experience supporting NPIs and aligning BOM requirements with engineering.Key Competencies
