Join us at Milton Hershey School (MHS), an esteemed private institution dedicated to providing exceptional education and support to students from disadvantaged backgrounds. At MHS, we create a nurturing environment where educational opportunities flourish and students thrive.

As a married couple, you will take on the rewarding role of flex houseparents, residing in on-campus housing with a small group of 8-12 students. Your responsibilities will include : guiding and nurturing students, offering a family-like structure, driving, administering medication, and managing home activities.

Qualifications :

  • Experience working or volunteering with youth, particularly from under-served communities.
  • Legal marriage of at least two years required.
  • Both spouses must be 27 years or older.
  • Up to three dependent children may reside in the student home with you.
  • Must abide by a smoke-free and weapon-free campus with no alcohol permitted while on duty.
  • Pet restrictions apply : only fish and one dog of approved breeds allowed.
  • Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to certify for driving student vans.
  • Comfortable leading students in daily devotions and attending Judeo-Christian Sunday chapel services while adhering to proselytizing prohibitions.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Exemplary integrity is essential, as staff serve as role models for students.
  • Both spouses must complete individual employment applications.
