Tax Senior / Supervisor
We are a dynamic mid-sized public accounting firm with a team of over 70 professionals, currently seeking a Tax Senior / Supervisor who wants the opportunity to expand their skills, assume direct responsibility for client engagements, and be an integral team member at a growing CPA firm. Key responsibilities include :
- Prepare complex Federal, State, and Local tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, trusts, and exempt organizations
- Review mid-level complexity tax filings - including individual, corporate, partnership, and trust returns - prepared by tax staff for accuracy and completeness
- Review and respond to tax authorities
- Provide tax planning and consultative services throughout the year, including projecting estimated taxes and providing recommendations and tax strategies
- Analyze trial balances and prepare year-end adjusting entries
- Stay current on evolving tax laws and industry regulations
Job criteria and qualifications :
5+ years of experience in tax at a public accounting firmBachelor's degree in accountingCPA license, CPA candidate, or EA certification preferredStrong knowledge of current tax laws and ability to apply to clients in direct interactionAbility to manage multiple engagements, competing projects, and deadlinesStrong attention to detail and proven innovative problem-solving skillsExcellent analytical and technical skills with mid-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with Lacerte is a plusDiverse range of experience in client size, industry, project hours, and types of workExcellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, with ability to maintain client relationshipsProactive and energetic team personalityExperience completing FinCen forms and required foreign compliance disclosures is valuableFor this position, you must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship for a non-immigrant visa.
