MSK Athletic Director
As the MSK Athletic Director, you will be responsible for coordinating and supervising all athletic programs. You will be responsible to deliver measurable results in developing, enhancing and promoting an athletic program that will be distinguished by the teams' display of integrity, citizenship, character, work ethic, and their ability to overcome adversity.
Qualifications
Love what you do, bringing your experience in athletics to the coaches and students at RSU 21. Should hold a valid Maine teachers certification; bachelor's degree and previous athletic experience. Knowledge and expertise in the strategies, methods and techniques for a successful sport offering. Should have the ability to manage all aspects of a sports program.

Responsibilities
Leadership
- Supervise all home athletic events, which includes : game setup / greet opposing team and officials (official cards).
- Attend league meetings (SMMSAC) approximately 7 per year.
- Monitor and help middle school administration with athletic disciplinary issues.
- Collaborate budget items and issues, i.e. equipment needs and purchases and yearly budget requests.
- Recommend and be active in the middle school coach hiring process.
- Keep an open line of communication with the high school athletic director.
- Ability and desire to prepare, observe and assess athletic programs.
- Ability to work with a variety of individuals including custodians, officials, fans, students and members of the administration.
- Willingness to learn elements of the field of athletic administration by working cooperatively with the high school athletic administrator
Student Centered
Collect and coordinate student athletic eligibility cards.Knowledge and understanding of the nature of the needs of adolescent youth.Appreciation of the importance of development skills in athletics for our young people.Organized Approach
Maintain, store, distribute and collect athletic uniforms and equipment.Organize practice schedules.Organize game schedules in conjunction with middle school leagues.Reschedule postponed events.Organize through the coaching staff bus transportation for away games.Organize and conduct athletic assemblies (fall, winter, spring.)Knowledge of athletics including but not limited to : appropriate coaching techniques, fundamentals of quality coaching and knowledge of sport.Organizational skills for the planning and implementation of events.Competencies

Terms of Employment : As per contract. Salary to be established by the Board.
Evaluation : Performance of this job will be evaluated by the Director of Athletics.
