Job descriptionMD or DO with board certification in Pediatric Emergency Medicine. Eligibility to obtain medical licensure in Alabama. Academic rank preference of Associate or Full Professor at the University of South Alabama. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and team-building skills. The Medicus Firm has partnered with USA Health in sunny Mobile, Alabama (yes, where winter coats are optional), looking for a visionary, collaborative, and academically driven physician to serve as the next Division Chief of Pediatric Emergency Medicine at the Frederick P. Whiddon College of Medicine.
In this role, you'll get to :
- Lead a state-of-the-art 26-bed ED at the region's only pediatric acute care facility
- Shape the future of pediatric emergency medicine with innovation, research, and a strong cup of coffee
- Recruit and mentor the next generation of PEM rockstars
- Collaborate across specialties to deliver world-class care to Mobile's kids and their families
- Build a brand-new PEM fellowship-because who doesn't love launching something great?
