Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Neuro Stepdown Telemetry position in a Level II Trauma Center, requiring a WA or Compact RN license and neuro experience.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work in a Neuro Stepdown unit within a short-term acute care, Level II Trauma Center and teaching hospital
  • Night shifts are scheduled from 19 : 00 to 07 : 00, working three 12-hour shifts per week
  • Care for neuro patients with an expected nurse-to-patient ratio of 1 : 5
  • Every other weekend shifts are required
  • Floating between units and to sister facilities within the state is expected
  • No on-call responsibilities
  • Uses the Epic EMR system; prior Epic experience required
  • Provide specialized nursing care to stepdown neuro patients utilizing telemetry monitoring
  • Work within a multidisciplinary team in a teaching hospital environment
  • Expected to complete required modules pre-start and on an annual basis
  • Minimal to no requested time off (RTO) is approved; all RTO must be requested up front
  • Travelers may be required to wear scrubs of any color
  • No cost for staff parking

  • Active WA or Compact RN license required at time of consideration
  • Minimum of 2 years recent neuro stepdown / telemetry experience required
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • Must provide at least 2 supervisory references covering one year of recent employment in a comparable specialty / setting
  • Applicants must reside outside a 50-mile radius from the facility to be eligible for travel pay rate
  • Former perm staff must wait at least 3 months before applying as a traveler
  • All required certifications and documentation must be submitted for consideration
