Definition of Position :

Provides basic nursing care to patients, under the direct supervision of Registered Nurses and / or Licensed Practical Nurses in the Medical / Surgical Department.

Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions :

Must be able to :

1) Perform a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another of a different nature without loss of efficiency or composure.

2) Recognize the rights and responsibilities of patient confidentiality.

3) Convey empathy and compassion to those experiencing grief, pain or trauma.

4) Report to other staff members about any changes in patient condition.

5) Relate to others in a manner that creates a sense of teamwork and cooperation.

6) Communicate effectively and therapeutically with people from every socioeconomic background.

7) Incorporate guest relations into daily activities.

8) Able to provide a CNA level of patient care, age specific, cultural, physical and psychosocial well-being.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS :

A. Education : - High School Diploma or GED

• CNA Certification
• CPR Certification
• BLS Certificate

B. Experience

Required : None

Desired : Previous CNA experience in acute care.
