Description :
The NICU Registered Nurse will provide care for neonates in a critical care setting.
Candidates must have experience in a Level III NICU.
Responsibilities include the administration of medications and therapies, such as phototherapy, tube feeding, and blood management.
Knowledge of managing sepsis, neonatal abstinence syndrome, and respiratory distress is essential.
The nurse will also support breastfeeding and handle breast milk.
There will be weekend coverage required every other weekend or as needed.
Flexibility is necessary, as candidates will float based on census.
The documentation system utilized is Epic.
The position does not require on-call duties.
All candidates must be able to provide patient / family education.
Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams will be a key component of this role.
Pre-approved time off must be requested at the time of submission, with a maximum of five days.
The facility permits local candidates within 50 miles of the location to apply.
Candidates should have experience with various neonatal interventions and devices.
Additional skills in vascular access and ventilator management are crucial for this role.
The NICU Registered Nurse plays a vital role in ensuring the health and safety of vulnerable patients.
