American Traveler is seeking an experienced Emergency Department RN with a CT license, trauma center experience, and required certifications for a Level I Trauma Center assignment.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Position is in the Emergency Department of a large short-term acute care hospitalLevel I Trauma Center with an average nurse-to-patient ratio of 1 : 6 for both day and night shiftsNight shift (3x12 hours), 19 : 00-07 : 00, with every other weekend requiredTravelers may need to float within scope to other campuses as neededUses Epic as the electronic medical record systemTravelers are not assigned to trauma / rescue rooms, triage, or locked behavioral health unitsAssignments are campus-specific but may require rotation between campusesPre-employment modules must be completed prior to startRTO requests over 7 days require facility approvalBlock scheduling may be availableTravelers are not considered for first-time assignmentsMust participate in emergency response or natural disaster activities if neededScrub / dress code and parking details will be provided upon assignment\n \n Requirements\n
Active CT RN license required or proof of application prior to start; pending license acceptedCurrent certifications required : BLS, ACLS, TNCCPreferred 2 years of recent ED nursing experience, minimum 1.5 years from a similar hospital, with trauma center experience at a large facility requiredOne professional reference requiredFlu vaccine required with no declinations acceptedCOVID-19 vaccine and booster required with only religious or medical exemptions acceptedWill not consider candidates within 75 miles of the facilityFormer perm staff must be gone 2 years to return as a traveler\n Benefits\n
