Position Title : Priming Tech

Wage : starting at $17.00 per hour

Shift : 1st

Hours : 8 : 00am-5 : 00pm

We are seeking a Priming Technician to join a great company's seed enhancement team in Waverly, NE. This role involves handling various seed species to improve earliness, uniformity, and vigor in germination. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and dependable, with a strong work ethic and flexibility to work varied shifts in support of a 24 / 7 operation.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment and machinery, including fork trucks, pallet jacks, mixers, augers, and overhead cranes.
• Calculate, monitor, evaluate, and adjust seed moisture content.
• Use gram, pound, and kilogram scales to obtain precise weights.
• Measure and mix seed, media, and chemical additives per specific work orders.
• Accurately monitor and record seed and room temperatures, and make necessary adjustments.
• Document observations of normal or abnormal seed conditions during priming.
• Complete daily logs with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Follow written and verbal instructions effectively.
• Adhere to all workplace policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
• Comply with state and federal safety standards.
