Position Objective : This position supports Rubino & Company's clients by coordinating the day-to-day preparation and gathering of information for client returns. This may include assisting with year-end financial statements and year-end tax planning support. This individual will provide responsive, high quality tax services to clients and provide leadership to and development of staff.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Prepare multi-state, C Corporation tax returns, pass through entity and individual tax returns and exempt organization tax filings
- Contribute to firm marketing and business development activities
- Assist in providing tax and financial advice to clients; help solve complex issues
- Build a deeper knowledge and understanding of tools, systems, and processes to delivery quality service to clients
- Follow the firm's processes and systems and effectively apply them
- Develop effective working relationships with clients; develop understanding of client's businesses and use effective questioning and listening skills to elicit needed information
- Stay informed of market trends and relevant legal changes
- Advise and coach team members

Qualifications and Educational Requirements
Bachelor's degree in accountingMinimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in public accounting focusing on preparation of corporate and individual tax returnsProficiency with computers and spreadsheet software programsPreferred Qualifications
Solid working knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel), Quickbooks, CCH Axcess, CCH Prosystem fx Engagement, and BNA Tax PlannerExperience preparing Form 990s (for non-profit entities)CPA or CPA candidate; Enrolled Agent (EA) also acceptableJob Requirements
Able to successfully pass a criminal background check (following a conditional offer of employment)Speak fluent English in order to communicate with other employees and clients verbally and in writingConstant operation of a computer and other office equipmentRemain in sedentary position for long periods of time; however, needs the ability to move around the office to access office equipment, attend meetings, etc.Frequent communication with others and clients regarding projects and work productAvailable to work moderate overtime throughout the year with heavier overtime requirements during busy seasonsSalary Description
