Job Description
Johnson Service Group (JSG), a nationally recognized recruiting firm, is assisting our global manufacturing client in finding a Transformer Field Service Technician to join their team and support their data center business. This person will travel to customer sites to play a key role in enhancing operational performance and managing produce life cycles while ensuring exceptional customer support and identification of new business opportunities. This is a remote + travel opportunity.
Must be available to travel up to 85% of the time
Responsibilities :
Deliver exceptional service, both remotely and on-site, across various categories including installation, maintenance, and advanced services.
Install transformer hardware, sensors, and accessories.
Integrate and test transformer software, including license initialization and firmware upgrades.
Ensure physical communication connectivity, configuration, testing, and validation.
Serve as the onsite point of contact for customers and subcontractors during project execution.
Assign tasks strategically to minimize costs and project duration.
Test SEL relays using Omicron relay test sets or equivalent.
Utilize industrial communication protocols like Modbus and BACnet. Qualifications :
Associate Degree
3+ years experience in data center fieldwork working with similar equipment.
Valid Drivers License
Our client is unable to provide current or future sponsorship.
Ability to travel up to 85% of the time.
