Security Specialist
Clearance Required : Secret Must be a U.S. Citizen Required Education : Journeyman - BA / BS degree. Allowable Substitution : Associate's Degree plus two (2) years additional work experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's Degree. Four (4) years additional work experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's Degree. Required Experience : Journeyman - 3 to 10 years of combined experience performing duties described in the functional description. Candidate also must have a minimum one (1) year experience encompassing the following security disciplines :
Although not immediate requirements, the candidate will be required to complete training for obtaining JPAS access and applying for a SIPRNet account within a few months of starting. Desired Experience : 2 years of experience supporting NAVAIR. Functional Description : Applies analytic techniques in the evaluation of program / project objectives. Analyzes requirements, status, budget and schedules. Performs management, technical, or business case analyses. Collects, completes, organizes and interprets data relating to aircraft / weapon / project acquisition and product programs. Tracks program / project status and schedules. Applies government-instituted processes for documentation, change control management and data management. Possess a strong working knowledge of the NISPOM and other required OPNAVINST and DoD instructions.
