Patient Access Prof. / Patient Services Specialist Full-Time needed in our Valley Ortho Clinic!

As the Patient Access Prof. / Patient Service Specialist you will :

GENERAL OBJECTIVES :

• Provides patients and physicians professional and friendly billing and reception duties and knowledge of Orthopedics at Valley View.
• Responsible for providing exemplary guest service to all internal and external customers. This service includes phone and face-to-face interaction with our patients, expeditiously determining and meeting patients' needs, assisting patients when appropriate, and displaying an approachable and professional image in personal appearance.
• This position requires knowledge of healthcare terminology, health insurance, electronic medical records system, HIPPA, and familiarity with CPT and ICD-10 principles.
• Organizes patient flow, keeping physicians and patients on schedule.
• Maintains patient files and accounts in a professionally accurate manner.
• Screens office manager, physician and nurse calls, handling appropriately.
• Ensures billing and collection processes are maintained.
• Assists as necessary in a timely manner with all billing and collection efforts.

QUALIFICATIONS :

Skills : Clerical : typing filing, scheduling, and strong computer skills; Exceptional customer service skills; Must be detail oriented with excellent telephone and communication skills; Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment; Bilingual (English / Spanish) preferred.
