Bilingual Trauma Therapist (Spanish / English Required)

Reports to : Counseling Program Director.

Hours : Full Time / Exempt.

Hybrid : Office / Remote / Field.

Compensation : $65,000 - $75,000 / Year DOE + 5% pay differential for bilingual Spanish / English fluency

Benefits : Healthcare, vision and dental, 20 days accrued PTO annually, retirement plan.

The Bilingual Trauma Therapist will provide trauma-based psychotherapy to children, adolescents, adults, and families in English and Spanish. Under the supervision of the Counseling Program Director, the Trauma Therapist will :

• Provide assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of sexual abuse / assault survivors and their families utilizing TF-CBT, EMDR, play therapy, art therapy, and / or other evidence based and / or trauma informed therapeutic modalities.
• Engage and maintain a caseload of 17-20 clients.
• Perform treatment planning, crisis intervention, advocacy and consultation in collaboration with other multi-disciplinary team members.
• Perform case management and advocacy to ensure families are connected to community service providers.
• Actively participate in clinical supervision.
• Perform other agency responsibilities as needed.

Rape Trauma Services (RTS) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 1995 to address the unmet need in San Mateo County for comprehensive services for survivors of sexual violence and other forms of abuse.

The mission of RTS is to eliminate all forms of violence, with a special focus on sexual assault and abuse. Informed by our understanding of traumatic experiences and cycles of violence, we facilitate healing and the prevention of violence through the provision of counseling, advocacy, and education.
