Job Description
To provide clean and well-maintained classrooms, laboratories, and buildings in support of the Mission Statement of the Facilities, Operations and Maintenance Department.
Positions in this level perform various housekeeping, custodial, and maintenance related tasks to ensure and maintain proper cleanliness of Centralia College facilities, Positions repair and replace various items, including but not limited to, light fixtures, switches, doors, hardware, windows, locks, etc. This typically schedule is Monday to Friday 3 : 00pm to 11 : 30pm. This position may be required to work outside normal business hours to ensure departmental coverage.

Qualifications
The ability to do required work and the ability to read and write
AND
Six months to one year experience in custodial, general or building maintenance, grounds keeping, or semi-skilled carpentry, electrical and / or plumbing repair work. Or equivalent education / experience.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to sit and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee must be able to stand and / or walk for over 70% of the work day; lift up to 50 lbs. constantly; bend; stoop and twist at the waist frequently; reach from knees to shoulder-level frequently and above shoulder-level occasionally; perform repetitive arm / hand motion constantly; constant handling and / or grasping; climbing stairs and ladders occasionally; and tolerate frequent carrying, constant pushing and / or pulling, frequent vibration from equipment, and occasional above or below temperatures; constant exposure to dust, chemicals, and equipment noise can be expected; hearing should be within normal limits to be able to communicate with students and staff; and must have clear vision, with or without correction to constantly notice details.
Conditions of Employment
There is one 40 hours per week position. Classified employees are represented by the Washington State Federation of State Employees (WFSE). The state of Washington provides a comprehensive benefits package for state employees.

COMPENSATION
Monthly Salary : Range 36 ($3,262 - $4,216)
Hourly Rate : $18.75 - $24.23
Additional shift differential pay : $435.00 monthly or $2.50 per hour
