Base Pay Range

$70,000.00 / yr - $100,000.00 / yr

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Design, develop and implement factory automation solutions, including robotics, conveyor systems, Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs), Overhead Hoist Transport (OHT) and Material Control system (MCS).
  • Integrate AMHS solutions with existing material control systems and other relevant software platforms.
  • Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to source and implement cutting-edge AMHS automation technologies.
  • Maintenance and troubleshooting for AMHS CIM (SCS / CCS / ACS / OCS).
  • Monitor transfer commands from host system and MCS, analyse logs for abnormal moves, determine root causes.
  • Manage and analyse factory automation data to identify opportunities for improvement, increase efficiency, and reduce costs.
  • Provide technical support, troubleshoot and maintain AMHS automation systems, resolving issues to minimise downtime.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies, trends, and best practices in factory automation and evaluate their impact on operations.
  • Identify opportunities for process optimisation and efficiency enhancement through AMHS CIM program patches in accordance with equipment upgrades or modifications.
  • Lead or participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment performance and production output.
  • Track and monitor the use of factory automation systems to ensure safety, quality, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Design and support countermeasure plans and follow-up measures to prevent safety accidents.
  • Ensure supervisors and operators receive regular and appropriate training regarding potential safety risks and prevention measures.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, electronic engineering, mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, or equivalent.
  • Experience

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in EV battery, auto parts, automobile industry, semiconductor manufacturing, or similar high-volume manufacturing of electric or chemical components.
  • Language Skills

  • Proficiency in English.
  • Preferred Korean bilingual.
  • Additional Qualifications & Attributes

  • Understanding of AMHS automation systems and rapid troubleshooting countermeasures.
  • Ability to apply knowledge of automation technologies, including robotics, PLCs, MCS / RTD, and MES.
  • Ability to organise daily system monitoring, conduct troubleshooting, and analyse AMHS logs for abnormal transfers.
  • Ability to analyse transfer data and implement improvements in automation processes.
  • Skills in conducting thorough testing and quality assurance for AMHS automation systems.
  • Ability to solve difficult problems related to AMHS automation engineering.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and compliance with regulatory requirements in all automation activities.
  • Overcome fear of failure, maintain a can-do attitude and high enthusiasm.

  • Location & Commute

  • Kingston, GA 30145 (required). Must relocate to Kingston, GA before starting work.
