Activate is a technology company building interactive gaming facilities across the US and Canada and beyond. As Store Leader, you will lead a team to deliver excellent customer experience in a dynamic and fun environment. This full-time position is located at Unit 353 – 3251 20th Ave.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day operations including interpreting and communicating company expectations; must be flexible and available to address issues that may arise.
- Create a lasting customer experience and ensure their satisfaction is a top priority.
- Understand key performance indicators and maintain brand consistency through positive customer experiences and local event involvement.
- Perform regular inspections of front desk and gaming areas, and ensure daily cleaning and maintenance duties are completed in compliance with company standards.
- Prevent security or safety concerns by adhering to procedures, providing training, and identifying risks.
- Provide regular updates to Regional Leader on store operations, facility issues, and suggest areas for improvement.
- Oversee the day-to-day maintenance process flow required for the facility.
- Audit and own the inventory process flow, managed by the Team Lead for maintenance, merchandise, and vending products.
- Schedule staff to ensure peak periods are properly staffed.
- Lead hiring of new employees and create a talent pipeline.
- Manage employee performance, including accountability, coaching, and development.
- Participate in planning meetings to prepare and roll out training and initiatives.
- Identify and implement improvements to enhance customer experience.
Working Environment
Capacity to lift and carry merchandise, supplies, and equipment up to the specified limit.Capability to bend, stoop, and reach to access merchandise and perform cleaning and maintenance tasks.Must be able to sit, stand, walk, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and communicate with others for long periods.Must lift up to 50 lbs consistently and stand for extended periods (typical 8 hours).Must be able to work day, evening, and weekend shifts (starting as early as 8 am and ending as late as 1 am).The Qualifications
Demonstrated leadership ability with at least 2 years of experience in a customer-facing environment.Experience in collaborative team environments.Ability to foster strong relationships with customers and employees.Excellent communication skills, including listening and oral communication.Proficiency in the use of hand and power tools.Proficient in Microsoft Office and related software.Multitasking in leading teams and operational performance.Highly organized in managing competing priorities.The Perks
