The Fair Banking Officer is an independent compliance partner who is responsible for working with business units to ensure that the Compliance Risk Management Program (Program) appropriately addresses the regulatory risks relative to fair lending and UDAAP laws and regulations. As a Compliance team member, working within the Compliance function, the Fair Banking Officer will work closely with the Chief Compliance Officer to foster an open and honest risk management and compliance culture across business units and ensure timely reporting and escalation of fair lending and UDAAP regulatory risk issues. The officer will also oversee data collection and analysis as it relates to the Community Reinvestment Act (CRA).
Essential Duties
Support the development, implementation, and monitoring of fair lending compliance and UDAAP activities in collaboration with business lines and compliance managementSupport Fair Banking objectives to oversee and assess the enterprise fair banking program relative to policy framework and regulatory requirements and monitor activities and data for complianceWork with external and / or internal resources as needed to perform meaningful analysis at the direction of the Chief Compliance OfficerServe as a Fair Lending, UDAAP, and CRA subject matter expertParticipate in management, risk, new product, and project meetings and provide regulatory risk adviceWork with business lines to ensure compliance with applicable banking laws, rules, regulations, and supervisory guidance to include ECOA, FHA, UDAAP, FDCPA, FCRA, and the CRAAddress any fair banking related complaints in conjunction with the Chief Compliance Officer and / or legal counsel, as necessaryEscalate compliance issues and updates to the Chief Compliance Officer, Risk Management and Executive ManagementWork with the Chief Compliance Officer, assist in coordinating regulatory examinations, advise on Action Plans designed to address pertinent regulatory findings and track timely remediation of the regulatory issuesIn coordination with the Chief Compliance Officer, identify relevant regulatory updates to report to Compliance management committees and leadership teamsProvide support to the Bank's Community Reinvestment Act efforts; assist with regulatory agencies and / or auditors inquiries when necessary.Oversee monitoring of data and technical compliance with CRA.Prepare the required annual filing of CRA activities and submit to regulators.Update the Public File(s) as necessary.Develop an annual Compliance Report on the Bank's State of Compliance as it relates to Fair Banking and CRA activitiesEqual Opportunity Employer / Veterans / Disabled
