Title : Assistant Director of Annual Giving

Salary Range : $75,000 - 85,000

Position Summary
The Assistant Director of Annual Giving oversees annual and monthly giving initiatives. The ideal candidate is passionate about creating opportunities for individuals to support the work of the Boys and Girls Club. They will build on a strong program and initiatives while creating opportunities for continued growth. The Assistant Director of Annual Giving should have experience and knowledge of fundraising principles and be a take-charge professional with the ability to manage administration and logistics in a fast-paced environment.

- Provide leadership and direction of all resource development efforts to raise an annual budgeted goal.
Strategic Planning
Prepare and execute a comprehensive plan that outlines specific expectations for all development efforts.Implement an annual fund campaign to acquire, retain, and upgrade annual donors through direct mail, email, social media, and face-to-face solicitation.Provide input and oversight for the design and implementation of a planned giving program.Resource Management
Design and implement annual campaign.Oversee the recording process for all gifts and ensure timely acknowledgement of gifts.Supervise development support staff members as needed to ensure success.Contribute to the design and development of marketing materials used in the promotion of the annual giving campaign.Develop, implement, and monitor the Club’s annual budget, controlling expenditures within budget and maintaining donor and financial records in accordance with standards.Marketing and Public Relations
Represent the Club at networking and community events. Develop strategic alliances with community leaders and local officials. Develop collaborative partnerships with other youth serving organizations, members, parents, families, funders, and community organizations.Increase visibility of Club development activities and maintain good public relations.Actively nurture a culture of philanthropy and spirit of collaboration among staff and board.Additional Accountabilities

Requirements :
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is required.A minimum of three years of work experience in non-profit agency fundraising, specifically in annual giving.Considerable knowledge of fundraising techniques, specifically in sources of funding for non-profit agencies.Demonstrated experience in the cultivation and solicitation of individuals and major gifts.A thorough understanding of the Club’s mission, objectives, policies, programs and procedures; and ageneral understanding of the principles and practices of non-profit organizations, youth developmentservices preferred.Strong oral and written communication skills.Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with Club staff, Board members, volunteers, donors, community groups, and other related agencies.Knowledge of accessing and managing a donor database.
