Business Consulting Senior Associate
As a Business Consulting Senior Associate, you'll be responsible for business process analysis, requirements definition efforts for remediating gaps, cost and cycle time analysis / remediation, and the communication and change management required to ensure the success of our clients - all with the resources, environment, and support to help you excel.
From day one, you'll collaborate with our Business Consulting Practice to help clients transform their finance and operations functions, both process-related and reporting, as well as design and implement sustainable models that streamline operations, and comply to business needs. This role looks beyond just control points and focuses on process optimization changes that achieve necessary business transformation.
Your day-to-day may include :
- Utilize previous consulting and industry experience to help companies set and achieve their long-term goals
- Perform accurate analysis and designing effective solutions to a variety of client issues
- Work directly with clients to address their issues and acting as the day-to-day relationship contact
- Work closely with Grant Thornton teams to promptly identify and resolve client problems or issues
- Develop and maintain strong internal and client relationships to provide maximum value to our clients through the delivery of our full solution
- Team with partners and senior managers on proposals and business development calls
- Meet or exceed targeted billing hours (utilization)
- Other duties as assigned
You have the following technical skills or qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or FinanceMinimum 3+ years of work-related experience in financial management and / or consulting or experienceExperience working in financial services in a consulting capacity, with a focus on financeStrong analytical skills and ability to perform quantitative analysis and develop business casesProcess analysis, reporting & business intelligence, data analysis & reconciliationWorking knowledge of close-the-books, chart-of-accounts, treasury, financial planning and analysis & financial benchmarkingKnowledge of banking operations and related regulatory issuesAbility to manage multiple priorities and simultaneous projects in a rapidly growing practiceExcellent interpersonal, facilitation and presentation skillsCan travel as needed. Expected travel is up to 30%The base salary range for this position in New York, NY only is between $103,700 and $155,500.
The base salary range for this position in Chicago, IL only is between $96,000 and $144,000.
