Job Description

This position is responsible for the assembly of low and medium voltage electrical switchgear cabinets for the manufacture of products. The Mechanical Assembler will take a blueprint or work order, gather appropriate materials and hardware, use hand and power tools to follow the work instructions, and perform a basic inspection to ensure the product is manufactured with quality.

Responsibilities

• Interpret assembly and elevation drawings.
• Construct modular steel cabinets and copper buss assemblies.
• Read a tape measure accurately.
• Utilize manual hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, and pliers.
• Operate power tools including drills, impact tools, and pneumatic torque wrenches.

Work Environment

The facility is medium-sized with 60 employees and manufactures everything from start to finish, including fabrication, welding, wiring, and assembly. It is a very clean, new, and modernly designed facility with comfortable temperatures to work in.

This is a Contract position based out of Franklin Park Illinois.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00 / hr.
